I THOUGHT that this small booklet was very good. It was very interesting and left me wondering about other people's views and stories about the Twelfth. Walk On By explains all about the Battle of the Boyne and ‘King Billy’ – Prince William of Orange.

The cover looks interesting and makes you want to read the booklet. The layout is very good. The booklet gives enough information without being too much. It has two articles, one by Garry Mills (The Twelfth – what it means to me!) and the other by Niklas van Tran (The Twelfth – Ulster’s most important day).

Garry wrote about how he and his family celebrated the Twelfth as a child, his involvement in the parades and as the title suggests – what it means to him. Niklas is from Holland and he wrote about how he became interested in Ulster and the Twelfth. Also he has travelled to see the parades and how it is important to him and Ulster.

The photos are good and show people having a good fun family day. My favourite photo is of the sword fight on horses (p15).

I think this booklet shows that the meaning of the Twelfth is all about culture and religion. I would recommend it to anybody.
